Global Microwave link Data collection Initiative Workshop

Please save the date for the Global Microwave link Data collection Initiative Workshop, to be held from Monday, 26 October to Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at the headquarters of the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

The GMDI consortium will present recent developments in the GMDI-CAP system and experience with implementing it in pilot studies. This will include validation against standard ground and satellite observations conducted across different countries in Africa and Europe. Next steps toward a sustainable GMDI will be discussed with experts from WMO, ITU, GSMA, and other relevant stakeholders.
